Statement on the 32nd Anniversary of the Founding of the Kurdistan Students Development Organization (KSDO)
Dear Students... Distinguished Teachers...
Beloved Parents...
Members and Friends of the Kurdistan Students Development Organization...
Today marks 32 years of dedicated service and struggle by the Kurdistan Students Development Organization. For more than three decades, our organization has served as an educational and national umbrella. Under the slogan (Education, Science, Innovation) and with the goal of (Educating a Generation for the Future of a Nation), we have worked tirelessly to cultivate conscious and science-loving individuals.
On this glorious anniversary, we reaffirm that serving the fields of pedagogy and education, and providing a healthy environment for students, has always been and will remain our top priority.
We commemorate this anniversary at a time when the Kurdistan Region is facing several unjust threats and attacks. From here, we strongly condemn the attacks on the lands of the Kurdistan Region and the martyrdom of civilian citizens.
Protecting the region's entity and the lives of its citizens is a national duty, and everyone must stand united in this regard.
Furthermore, due to the unfortunate circumstances that shifted the educational process to online learning, we hope that this phase concludes permanently and that the doors of schools, universities, and institutes are fully reopened to students. At the same time, we believe that online education must not lead to the violation of students' rights or negatively impact their scientific and academic standards.
We emphasize that within educational institutions, there must be a greater commitment than ever to strengthening loyalty to the homeland and national belonging, ensuring the upbringing of a patriotic generation.
In another context, and taking the financial situation into consideration, we call for serious support for students through discounts on annual tuition fees at private universities and institutes (similar to the support provided in public sectors) to alleviate the heavy financial burden on families.
We, at the Development Organization, while reaffirming the continuity of our projects in the fields of awareness and education, pledge to remain—as always—the staunch defenders of students' rights.
Development does not stop. Instead, it moves toward the future with an iron will and a clearer strategy. We dedicate all our capabilities to building the Kurdish individual because our persistence in our mission and goals serves only one purpose: the sacred service of students and the future of this homeland.
Congratulations on 32 years of service and development.
